What’s Stress Got to Do With It? Acupuncture and health
Stress is normal, isn’t it? We all have some and it’s really no big deal, right? The truth is, yes, it’s normal, and no, it really IS a big deal.
We know how important stress is when we talk about bones. Without physical stress on our bodies (walking, lifting, weights), our bones will not stay strong. It has also been suggested throughout history that other stresses can be strong motivators for us to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
However, stress can also have a negative impact on us. Western science proved that emotional stress makes it harder for our bodies to heal from trauma. Knowing this, it is clear to me that one avenue toward better health is to reduce our emotional stress. And it feels great.
Relax
One of the most common reactions that I hear when people have acupuncture is ‘WOW! I feel so relaxed.’ Feeling this way, even when life is difficult, is important for your health. Acupuncture really does help you get healthy and stay healthy.
